Are the tours accessible for persons with physical disabilities, or with limited mobility? 

A) All walking tour routes are sidewalks and asphalt along flat grounds, thus it is safe for wheelchairs and walkers.

B) The tours with the Tour Guide on board your vehicle will be the most accessible way to enjoy all of our tour options.  It will also offer the most opportunities to see more than the walking tours.

On tours with the tour guide in your vehicle, you can decide whether (or not) to step out at designated locations. The designated locations allow a better view of the scenery.

What does Guide-On-Board mean?

A Guide-On-Board tour means that the Tour Guide will ride in your vehicle (car/van/bus) to direct you along the tour route.

However, you may request the guide to drive your car (at no extra cost), but it is NOT required.

Do I need to purchase my tickets in advance?

Please pay for your tour in advance.

Most tours allow bookings up to one hour before the start time. Foodie Tours and Shuttle Tours require a 24-hour minimum advanced booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover, or PayPal.

Schools and government entities can pay by check, if needed.  Please call to arrange.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

  • The first $100, or bookings under $100, are non-refundable.
  • Exchanges can be made, if the request is made at least 24 hours before the start of the tour.
  • Reschedule date must be within one year of original tour date.

Exchanges can be made if the postponement is due to inclement weather, See “What about inclement weather?

What about inclement weather?

A little rain doesn’t slow us down. Our tours are rain or shine, hot or cold events, except under warnings.  On walking tours, if there is lightning, the tour is delayed, or postponed, to a later time (either same day or another date).
Be sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately.

Weather Warnings

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings

Vicinity Tours postpones a tour when:

The National Weather Service issues a Thunderstorm, or a Tornado Warning for the county where the tour would be conducted, and during the time slotted for the tour.

Vicinity Tours will reschedule the tour for a later time, on the same day, if slots are available, and if the forecast shows better conditions.  Otherwise, you may select a later date.
